| The Arrow Mill was originally a working mill and is mentioned in the Domesday Book, when it was valued at 3 shillings and 6 pence (17.5p). Flour was made here until the late 1800s and then animal feeds were milled on the site right up until 1964. There were working mills almost every mile along the River Arrow many years ago, but most have become houses, housing estates or sadly, just simply vanished.
