In the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon, this 17th-century inn has been a meeting place of writers, actors and artists since the 18th century. The Shakespeare retains much of its original architectural character, but has also benefited over the years from sympathetic and careful modernisation. Behind the distinctive front, the hotel has 74 en suite rooms, including 3 four-poster rooms and 7 suites. All of the rooms are named after the plays and characters of William Shakespeare.
